Final inspection was manual and sampled, so surface defects were being found by the customer rather than on the floor. We surveyed the cell, captured production across three shifts, and commissioned an edge vision station that inspects every part and drives the existing reject gate.

Asked before signing
The pilot is priced as its own piece of work and delivers its own artefacts, so it is not discounted afterwards. What it removes is the guesswork in the production quote, which is where the real money is.
Then you have that in writing with the reasoning, for a known fixed cost, instead of finding out in month five. It has happened and we will say it plainly.
Where in the $28K–60K band it lands is set by data readiness, integration depth and whether a site visit and hardware are involved. The number is fixed once scope is signed.
Whoever does the work today, someone who owns the systems it will touch, and the budget holder. Around eight to twelve hours of their time across four weeks.
